Updated Rules For Forum

Hello everyone.

Well, it looks like it has happened.  The Spammers have found the site.  That just makes things SOOOO much fun for everyone (especially me!).

I tried to be nice and of course, people took advantage of it.  Oh well.  So be it.  Time to come out with some new rules.  So here they are.

Signature lines will still be permitted. However, they must pertain to something to do with buttons.  It can be your button website, something to do with button design, button making equipment, button software, etc.

All links must say EXACTLY what they are.  If you put a false description about the link, it will be removed and you may be banned from the site.

All links must go to English language websites.  Sorry, I don't speak or read Russian, so I have no way of knowing exactly what the site says.  And your description of site must be in English.  If it is not in English, it will be removed and you may be banned from the site.

Pictures are not allowed in your signature line.  Please use only text based descriptions for the link.  Any links with picture based links will be removed and replaced with just the site address.  Repeated attempts to change this will result in user being banned from site.

If you link goes to a site that is not functioning when I check it, it will be removed.  All bad links will be taken out of your signature line.

If you have a description that does not have a website listed, it will be removed.

If it looks like your sole reason for joining is to promote a site that has nothing to do with buttons, you will be banned. Don't bother joining if all you want to do is promote your travel, Viagra, car rental or other affiliate programs.

Sorry to do this my friends, but with 20 to 30 new sign ups a day, that have nothing to do with buttons, I'm forced to put these new rules in effect.  All the other rules in the first post still remain.

These new rules apply to all new users immediately.  Existing members have one week (by April 22, 2009) to make changes to their account.  After that date, I will be going though the membership roles and making corrections and possibly banning people.

I want to try and keep this forum fun for everyone.  If you have a special request for a link you are unsure about, feel free to contact me though the forum and I will be glad to review it and let you know if I will approve it.
