Hello all.

One problem I've always had is trying to take pictures of the buttons.  The colors never seem to look right, to there's too much reflection off the mylar.  Sometimes it just hard to get them to look right.

So I started using the raw image that I print to make the buttons (as you can see on the GetFunButtons site).

Only problem with that is it doesn't look like a button.  Now I know most people who buy buttons will understand what they are getting, but for someone who just happens to stop by, it just doesn't look right.  I always wanted a way to make the button "proof" look like a real button.

The other day as I was doing some research, I ran across a tutorial that shows how to do just that.  So if any of you out there are using PhotoShop, you might want to check this out.

http://psdtuts.com/photo-effects-tutorials/photoshop-button-maker/

I'm trying it out now (with the help of my son who's the real PhotoShop Wizard).  As I get more details, I'll let everyone know.  And if you use Photoshop to create your buttons, check out the tutorials listed on the main page (psdtuts.com).  Has some amazing stuff.

Best wishes to all,
Robbie

do you have a image you can post that has an example of what you want to do?

I dont have Elements but I used to know Photoshop as well as anyone. I can probably give you a hand, if the software is capable of this task...

Hello.

I've pretty much got it figured out.  If you follow the link, you can see what they are trying to do.  Also most of the new buttons pictures listed on the site are using that format.

Thanks for the offer!

Best wishes,
Robbie
