Hi, I am so new to this. I have the professional 2.25 set from American Button Machine. One problem I'm having is lining up the front design level (it looks straight in the holder)and then pressing and then lining up the pin back straight in the holder and pressing. When done the design is a little to the left if you were to put the pin on the garment straight.  Sad I "eyeball" it the best I can so wondering what all you do, Huh? is there something I am missing?Huh? Good thing I'm not expecting to make tons of these an hour (like I've read you can do) this way ..... as no way could I do it with the eyeballing thing going on.

On a great point I can use fabric (heavy .... like drape only tried) with this machine and cutter.

Thanks for any help, told ya I'm new at this  Grin
ps, very disappointed in using the easel back with this 2.25 size button machine (says you can). Does not work or look right at all, I will have to cut the length of the easel way down.  Sad

Those cardboard easels are perfect for 3" and larger buttons.

When I make my buttons I turn the dies so only the pickup die faces me. I insert my shell, paper and mylar. Then I rotate the dies.
Now the crimp die is in front of me. I place my pin back into the die so the pin looks straight.

I usually have better luck this way then I do with both dies facing me because you also have to remember to turn the pin back upside down. I hope this makes sense.

Hello.

Sorry you didn't get the answer you were looking for.  The forum is still fairly new and needs more members.  So if you know anyone else who makes buttons, pass it along to them.  The more people we can get, the quicker questions like yours will get answered.

Best wishes to all,
Robbie
